Daily Prayer, April 23

Revelation 2:3 I also know that you are enduring patiently and bearing up for the sake of my name, and that you have not grown weary.

Mighty God, it truly has taken strength for me and others to remain active in Your Church. Sometimes it has been You who have been patient and energetic when we truly did get weary. Today is a day before worship day; I thank You for Saturday. May I be energized for gathering with the faithful on Sunday, and praise the name of Jesus.

Even though it is Saturday, it is the day of the annual gathering of our Baptist Association Churches. Today we gather at the Bear River East Church. May all of us, these more than thirty congregations, sense we belong to one another; and may we be all the more: teammates for all the Good News there is to share. Amen.

Daily Prayer, March 26

Acts15:3 So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, they reported the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the believers.

God of love and fellowship, thank You that I am not alone! I am in Your world, I am among the believers of the world, and we are united in the Spirit of Christ. From early days, Master, I see how Your followers fellowshipped together, learned from one another, served together and helped each other. Make me a servant – a servant of Your serving Church in the world.

I pray this day for our local Annapolis-Digby Baptist Association. May this fellowship of forty Baptist Churches be a good way for the people to cooperate, support one another, and truly be on the same team. As the Association Council meets today, may there be nominees found to serve as the next Moderator, Vice Moderator, Webmaster, and Clerk/Treasurer. Bring out people who have a vision for our churches to associate together, and not be isolated or alone. In Your name, Jesus! Amen.

Daily Prayer, Oct 16

Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to rain bread from heaven for you, and each day the people shall go out and gather enough for that day. In that way I will test them, whether they will follow my instruction or not.

Jesus: Bread of Heaven, I turn to You in prayer so that I may be sustained, by soul fed, and my path led. Today is World Food Day, and the theme this year is “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow.” Divine Provider, I think my food is basically quite safe; I intercede for those whose food is lacking and is not safe. For the health of those who are hungry or diseased, I pray. Help us who are healthy and rich to share much more.

Master, Your teaching is food for our minds. Today, guide the Annapolis Digby Baptist Association, that this group of churches may learn afresh to associate well together. And when congregations meet tomorrow, bless the Grangeville Baptist Church in NB. Let their worship be sweet and Your guidance be clear. Amen.
